Parent Tips:
A family atmosphere prevails at our school with the education of your child being a shared responsibility. We encourage your interest in what your child does each day and welcome your involvement in the classroom, school council, and at home.
1. Ensure your child is getting an adequate nights rest. Children require 10 to 12 hours in order to appropriately function the next day.
2. Children learn best when they eat a healthy breakfast, have nutritious foods for snack and stay well hydrated with water throughout the day.
3. Please ensure you are participating in the home reading program by reading with your child every night. **The Kindergarten home reading program will begin mid-November**
4. Sight words are a necessary part of literacy. Help your child become a better reader by practicing the words on their word ring every night. **Beginning mid-November**
5. Your child’s agenda is the primary communication tool. Please ensure you are reading, signing and checking the front pouch daily.
